Roads to Scholars

The Nelson C Lathan Counseling Center Roads to Scholars Conferene at Central Arizona College

Roads to Scholars Conference at Central College

The Roads to Scholars Program is dedicated to high school students obtaining higher education, and continuing on to college after high school. Students will be able to take field trips, sit in on college classes, visit colleges overnight, shadow college students, participate in college discussion groups led by college students, talk with college campus clubs and organizations, talk with college professors,

and attend college events. This program is committed to giving students opportunities to see college in a different light and give students the experience of being on a college campus and giving the student the feel of being a college student. San Tan Foothills High School is the first school to offer the Roads to Scholars program. During the year students were able to talk with college students, visit college campuses, attend college based meetings at their school, and learn about college. The Roads to Scholars program had tremendous success and we would like to continue that success and help other students reach their dreams and continue their education by going to college. Of the 22 students in the Roads to Scholars program all 22 of the students were admitted into a college, some being the first in their family to attend a college. This is the impact that we strive for each and every day and we will work to continue to empower students and enhance lives.
